List of walks I've been on, or have plans to go on soon

This isn't an exhaustive list. I only started keeping track of my walks recently, when I also started putting together a map of all the places I've ever been in Singapore.

• Home — Bishan — Home
• Date first completed: 5 May 2014
• Distance: 10km

• Remarks: Pretty short walk. Just a warm-up, really. Covered very familiar territory around Bishan. Was nice, too, going by my old secondary school, seeing how little it's changed, at least from the outside.
• Home — Dunearn Road — Newton — Home
• Date first completed: 8 May 2014
• Distance: 14.6km

• Remarks: Took me a while to figure out there was a way to walk from Lornie Road to Dunearn Road. Quite glad I did. I'm not so sure how usable that route is now, though, with all the construction going on around the new Thomson Line.
• Home — Yio Chu Kang — Home
• Date first completed: 14 May 2014
• Distance: 19.4km

• Remarks: Nice, long walk. Tough, this one. Especially since I was pretty unfamiliar with a lot of the route. Also the longest one I'd done so far, up to that point.
• Selegie — Kallang — Bishan
• Date first completed: 31 May 2014
• Distance: 14.6km

• Remarks: Not a particularly long walk, but pretty tough, because I'd over-estimated how well worn in my new shoes were. Feet were really aching by the end of it. Meant to walk all the way home, but in the end, gave up and took the bus the rest of the way from Bishan Park. Very nice walk, though. Might consider doing it again one day.
• Seven Sisters Walk
• Date first completed: 14 June 2014
• Distance: 24.6km

• Remarks: East Sussex, England. Did this one with friends. Distance doesn't take into account the nearly 400m of gain.
• Lea Valley Walk
• Date first completed: 18 June 2014
• Distance: 20km

• Remarks: London, England. Did this one alone. Started out quite urban, in a slightly dodgy-looking part of town, too, but very quickly turned lusher and greener, and actually quite pretty.
• Selegie — Orchard — Botanical Gardens — Home
• Date first completed: 6 Sept 2014
• Distance: 6.32km

• Remarks: Did this totally on a whim. Wasn't even properly dressed. Just didn't feel like heading home, and decided to go for a bit of a walk.
• Kovan — Punggol — Ang Mo Kio — Home
• Date first completed: 10 Sept 2014
• Distance: 20.8km
• KMZ file: Here
• Remarks: Did this with a friend, the first walk in Singapore I didn't do alone. Very nice walk. A bit long. Was pretty tired in the end. Might do this one again one day.
